I think about a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with photography and mostly doesn’t have to do with dogs (outside the fact that everything influences dog safety, my dogs’ environments, the expendable income I have to purchase more dog toys, etc.). I think it’s important to embrace that houses don’t have a single load-bearing beam, and similarly, neither do any of us have a single pillar of interest or passion that provides the entire structural support for who we are and why we do what we do. Pretending to be that for the sake of consistency and branding feels like a sure-fire way to lose yourself or inadvertently convince another that that is who they should be as well.
You’ll probably think a lot of what I think is interesting is boring, and that’s fine with me. Really, I won’t lose any sleep, because it’s still something that took up my time for a hot second. It’ll all be a little out of left field, not what is considered conventionally buzz-worthy. Hopefully, this makes it a little more interesting than your normal insta-scroll.
